Is intervention helpful for all addicts?

If it is a crisis situation, a professional interventionist should be present with the family or friends, as they intervene with the addicted person.

If more time is available, a professional addiction counselor can prepare friends, family and coworkers on what do and say (and not do and say) during an intervention.

Intervention is not always successful, but it is absolutely worth trying.
