Can a treatment center help me with co-occurring problems?

Absolutely.  Most people who have substance abuse issues have other physical and psychological issues that are present along with the addiction.  This combination of addiction and another issue is called a co-occurring diagnosis, and it is crucial that treatment focuses on all areas of involvement.  Recovery is difficult, if not impossible, if only the addiction is addressed.  Not all treatment programs focus on co-occurring diagnoses, so make sure to ask about these services when choosing a treatment facility.
